Internship with Cinema Politica Concordia – Student Videographer-Editor
Fall 2025
Cinema Politica is a media-arts non-profit network of community and campus chapters that screens independent political films and videos by Canadian and international artists in Canada and abroad. Cinema Politica Concordia, the network’s flagship and a fee-levy group, organizes a free weekly political film series at Concordia University.
We’re looking for a Student Videographer-Editor for Fall 2025!
Responsibilities
- Attend all special screenings with speakers present.
- Film introductory remarks and post-screening Q&As;
- Edit 15-20 minute videos of each event for YouTube, Vimeo, and the Cinema Politica archives, under the supervision of the Digital Media Coordinator.
- Assist with equipment booking and transport.
- Upload all videos within 10 days of each event.
- Submit a weekly journal, rough cuts, , and a final report to your supervisor.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years’ experience with video and sound equipment.
- Familiarity with video and audio editing software. Experience with Davinci Resolve is a plus.
- Familiarity with YouTube and Vimeo.
- Excellent communication skills, punctuality, and ability to follow instructions.
- Interest in documentary film/video is an asset; experience with a non-profit, film production company, or film festival is a plus.

Please note that interns must be available Monday nights from 6:00-10:00 p.m. throughout the Fall 2025 semester. Not all screenings will have guests in attendance (expect at least half to do so). The guest schedule will be confirmed closer to the start of the term.
