TQFF is hiring a Programming Coordinator for the 2026 Festival and Symposium
The Toronto Queer Film Festival was formed in 2016 to provide community art exhibition space for experimental, contemporary, and social justice themed film and video art by queer filmmakers. The 10th annual Toronto Queer Film Festival and Symposium takes place from October 16 – 18, 2026 at the Tranzac Club.
The ideal Programming Coordinator has a strong interest in queer, experimental, and politicized film and demonstrates the ability to design festival programming that prioritizes underrepresented artists. They are a clear communicator and collaborative leader who is excited to support queer filmmakers and audiences.
Qualifications
- Experience working in film festivals, arts programming, coordination, arts administration, education, and/or arts event support is a requirement
- Interest in film, media arts, or creative learning environments
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Availability on select evenings/weekends, and the entirety of the festival weekend
- Prior experience with grassroots groups, community organizing, and/or collaborative decision-making models is considered an asset

TQFF’s normal hours of business operation are Monday through Thursday, 9 AM – 5 PM. Occasional evening hours are expected during scheduled events, such as the annual festival and year-round screenings. There are bi-monthly in-person meetings; all other work is remote.
